In early 2007 the dTechs Meter Suite successfully completed the ‘Proof of Concept’ stage, and was able to locate 9 Organized Crime Grow Operations within a random sample area of 603 dwellings in less than 45 minutes.  The trial project was completed for a large Canadian Utility company.  All of the Marijuana Grow Operations were illegally bypassing the residential electrical meter at a conservative estimate of $140,000.00 per annum for the identified Grow Operations.

Essentially, when the dTechs Meter suite is deployed, you cannot use an inordinate amount of electricity without the Utility being aware of its use.  Hence, you will not be able to operate a grow operation without being found.
